Jim Blount, 59, of Savannah, died Saturday, March 20, in Savannah.

He was born in Savannah, the son of the late Jahue Horace and Lena Mae Hubbard Blount. He was united in marriage to Thelma Marie Webb, who survives.

Mr. Blount retired after 26 years with AT&T as a service technician. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.

A graveside service was held on Monday, March 22, at the Neill Cemetery in Savannah with Rev. Randy Isbell officiating.

In addition to his wife, Marie of Savannah, he is survived by two daughters, Jamie Marie Blount Morris and Cyndi Rae Blount Hartmann, both of Savannah; three grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Ann Blount Peterson of Raymond, Wash.; four brothers, Emmsley Fay Blount, William Jahue Blount and William Covie Qualls, all of Savannah, and Howell Glover of Johnson City, Tenn.
