Chester Lee Couch, 71, of Savannah, died Friday, Jan. 1.

He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late J.D. and Delcie Pipes Couch.

Mr. Couch attended the Church of Christ. He was a farmer and a veteran of the National Guard.

Services were held on Monday, Jan. 4, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Lance Foster, Paul Briley officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Hardin County.

He is survived by a son, Anthony Couch of Savannah; a brother, Roy Couch of Helena, Mo.; three sisters, Annie Siebert of Riverdale, Ga., Ruby Robertson of Sardis , Tenn. and Corene Salama of Savannah; two grandchildren.
