Dorothy Rhea Roberts, 87, of Hardin County, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, in Savannah.

She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late William Ess and Mary Johnson Grimes. She was united in marriage to John Nathan Roberts, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Roberts was a quality control technician for Clifton Manufacturing. She was a member of Clifton Church of Christ.

Services were held on Thursday, Dec. 3, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Tracy Love officiating. Burial was in the Clifton Cemetery at Clifton.

She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Lynne Holt of Clifton and Mary Jo Connell of Sharon, Tenn.; one son, William E. Roberts of Collinwood; seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Edith Walker of Savannah and Virginia Jo Bennett of Knoxville.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Wilma Davis and Lucille Shelby.
