Bob Damas

Robert Perry "Bob" Damas, of Savannah, was born June 3, 1938. He died Nov. 23, at the Hardin Medical Center after a long illness.

He is survived by his loving ex-wife Gail; a sister Delores Brown of Providence, Rhode Island; and three daughters: Charole Hatcher and her husband Tony from Tupelo, Miss.; Teresa Myers and her husband Glen from Aylett, Va.; and Laura Weaver and her husband Lee from Counce. Bob had five grand children: Crystal and Kevin Hatcher, Jacob and Kyla Myers, and Leanne Weaver.

Bob loved to serve the Lord and was an active member of the MT. Zion Church of Christ.

Words cannot express the thanks that the family has for all the support and love from the members of the church. The family would also like to extend their sincere appreciation to Dr. Cromwell and her staff, and to all the members of the Hardin Medical Center team that helped to make Bob and his family as comfortable as possible during this trying time.

A memorial service was held Wednesday, Nov. 25, at the Mt. Zion Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Mt. Zion Church of Christ benvolence fund would be greatly appreciated.
