Bernice Nance

Bernice Elizabeth Nance was born in Memphis, on Aug. 15, 1937, the daughter of the late Bernis and Elizabeth Moore Nance.

Ms. Nance was a homemaker and a member of Savannah Church of Christ. She was a past member of the Savannah Art Guild. Ms. Nance was very interested in preventing blindness and also interested in preserving the environment and wildlife. She was an artist and she enjoyed reading, classical music and physical fitness. Ms. Nance lived for 10 years near Clifton, Tenn.

She departed this life on Saturday, Oct. 31, in Savannah, at the age of 72 years, 2 months and 16 days.

Ms. Nance is survived by her cousins, Emma Owen, Loel Nance, Sue Pyatt, Carolyn Hawes, Doris Shain, Bill Nance, Lynn Nance, Edna Nance, Mary Wilson, Betty Bigbie and Hugh Nance.

Other than her parents, Ms. Nance was also preceded in death by one cousin, Billy Nance.

Services will be held today, Thursday, Nov. 5, at 1 p.m., at Savannah Church of Christ in Savannah with David Baker, Howard Rogers and Mark Massey officiating. Burial will follow in the Savannah Cemetery at Savannah.
