Max Ray Alexander Max Ray Alexander, 73, of Savannah, died Wednesday, Oct. 28. He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Samuel Woodrow and Nannie Monetta Wilkerson Alexander. He was united in marriage to Judy Lee Jerrolds, who survives. Mr. Alexander was the owner of Tenn-Tucky One Stop. He had also volunteered at Pickwick Golf Course, worked as a butcher for various grocery stores, and ran The Dinner Bell Cafe. He was a member of the National Guard for nine years. Services were held on Sunday, Oct. 30, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Rev. Randy Isbell and Robert Shackelford officiating. Burial was in the Jerrolds Cemetery at Hardin County. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Mark and Keith Alexander, both of Savannah; two daughters, Angie Austin of Smithville, Tenn. and Alisa Caperton of Savannah; two brothers, Robert and Sam Alexander, both of Savannah; three sisters, Joyce Willoughby, Carolyn Dedrick and Janie Hardin, all of Savannah; nine grandchildren.
