Howard Creekmore Howard Creekmore, 73, of Savannah, died Thursday, Oct. 22, at Vanderbilt Medical Center, Nashville. He was born in Cherokee, Ala., the son of the late Truman and Minnie Horton Creekmore. He was united in marriage to Geneva Etheridge Hosea Kerr, who survives. Mr. Creekmore retired after 25 years from Kaiser Steel. He was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. Mr. Creekmore helped build Pickwick Southside School and he also worked for Savannah Housing Authority for 16 years. Services were held on Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah, with Artie Rivers, Hardin Hosey officiating. Burial was in the Mount Hermon Cemetery at Hardin County. In addition to his wife Geneva of Savannah, he is survived by one son, Howard Michael Huls of Nyssa, Ore.; three daughters, Dianne Huls of Boise, Idaho, Sherri Johns and Vicky King, both of Lebanon, Ore.; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; one sister, Dean Elizabeth Smith of Belton, Texas; and two brothers, Charles Creekmore of Sun City, Calif. and Truman Gene Creekmore of Kenosa, Wis.
