Troy Wakefield (6-11-09) services 6-16-09

Troy Wakefield, 41, of Savannah, died Thursday, June 11. He was born in Webster, S.D., the son of Dennis and Diane Blashill Wakefield. He was united in marriage to Kathy Himel Wakefield, who survives. Mr. Wakefield had worked as a ground loading agent for Delta Airlines Incorporated and was a member of the Savannah Church of Christ. Services were held on Tuesday, June 16, at Savannah Church of Christ in Savannah, with David Baker, Dr. Jerry Spencer officiating. Burial was in the Memory Gardens. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by one son, Jonathan Todd Wakefield of Savannah; two sisters, Robin Strand of Sioux City, Ind. and Angel Mock of North Richland Hills, Texas; grandparents, Walter and Cecil Blashill of Bradley, S.D., Ronnie and Evelyn Wakefield of Burnsville, Minn.
