Ruth Johnson (5-1-09) services 5-3-09

Ruth Johnson, 78, of Clifton, died Friday, May 1, at the Hardin County Nursing Home. She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late John and Exie Boroughs Grimes. She was united in marriage to Felix Johnson, who survives. Mrs. Johnson was a retired factory worker from Clifton Manufacturing Company after 33 years. A graveside service was held on Sunday, May 3, at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Hardin County, with Tracy Love officiating. In addition to her husband Felix of Clifton, she is survived by one daughter, Jean Brewer of Waynesboro; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; one sister, Johnnie Smith of Crump; and one brother, Jay Grimes of Gray Harbour, Wash. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Ruby Grimes; and one brother, Roy Grimes.
