R.C. Middleton (4-28-09) services 4-30-09

R.C. Middleton, 75, of Savannah, died Tuesday, April 28. He was born in Savannah, the son of the late Dick and Lanta Franks Middleton. He was united in marriage to Virginia McClelland, who preceded him in death. Mr. Middleton had worked for Roach Sawmill as a member of the clean-up crew. Services were held on Thursday, April 30, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Ty Hill officiating. Burial was in the Ward’s Cemetery at Hardin County. Mr. Middleton is survived by a son Raymond Middleton of Savannah; four daughters, Teresa Harville, Patsy Brown, Tammy Hunt and Pam Burks all of Savannah; two sisters, Jessie Cummings and Linda Faye Killian, both of Savannah; 16 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Cathy Jones and Tonya Middleton Irwin; four brothers, Ransom, Rase, James, and W.M. Middleton; five sisters, Elizabeth Murphy, Willie Sutton, Velma Franks, Fannie Davis, and an infant sister; a grandson, a great-grandson.
