Paul Padie (5-27-09) services 6-1-09

Paul J. Padie, 85, of Clifton, died Wednesday, May 27, at Baptist Hospital in Nashville. He was born in Eckert, Colo., the son of the late Paul Paddie and Anne Gadberry. He was united in marriage to Freda Mae Bryson, who survives. Mr. Padie was a mechanic and welder for Operating Engineers for 35 years before he retired. He was a veteran and a Shriner in Alaska. Services were held Monday, June 1, at Prater's Chapel in Clifton with Kyle Wescher officiating. In addition to his wife, Freda, he is survived by two daughters, Carol and Dixie; a son, Roger; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Jackson; two brothers, Paul Junior and Leon; and six sisters, Betty, Josephine, Ruby, Genavieve, Lucy and Elanore; and a grandson.
