Mindy Powell Bobo was born Oct. 7, 1966, in Memphis, daughter of Jo Anne Ross Powell Jones and the late James Mackey Powell. On Jan. 11, 1997, she was united in marriage to Walter Leroy (Bo) Bobo. Mrs. Bobo had worked for the U.S. Postal Service, Phillips Mail Service, Stoffeur Hotel and Manager for Work Force. She was a member of Central Church in Memphis. Mindy thought about everyone else before herself. She was a loving wife, daughter, friend and sister. She departed from this life Monday, April 20, at her residence in Memphis, at the age of 42 years, 6 months, and 13 days. She leaves other than her husband, Walter Leroy (Bo) Bobo of Memphis; two daughters, Michele Cook and her husband Eddie of Holly Springs, Miss. and Lisa Kunkel and her husband Mike of Los Angeles, Calif.; three sons, Kenny Bobo and his wife Jessica of Horn Lake, Miss., Shane Bobo and his wife Tracy of Olive Branch, Miss. and Michael Bobo and his wife Stephanie of Memphis; 12 grandchildren, Amanda Breedlove and her husband Jimmy, Megan and Matthew Kunkel, Kayla, Kyle, and Karly Bobo, Shannon and Cooper Bobo, Randy and Grant Hoover, Alexia and Jarred Bobo; her mother, Jo Anne Powell Jones and step-father Elbert C. Jones Jr. of Bolivar, Tenn.; one brother, Gary Ross Powell and his wife Diane of Savannah; two sisters, Janet Wellons and her husband Mike of Bolivar, Tenn., and Denise Mask and her husband John of Coos Bay, Ore.; and her sister in law, Darlene Powell of Milledgeville; a special niece and nephew, Amber and Nick Brock of Savannah; two nieces, Amanda Wellons and Rachel Wessons; two nephews, Ian Wellons and Daniel Hamer. A brother, Jimmy Michael Powell, preceded her in death. Services were held Friday, April 24, at Milledgeville United Methodist Church with Calridge Haley and Jimmy Dyer officiating. Burial was in Milledgeville Cemetery.
