Mary Pitts (6-4-09) services 6-6-09

Mary Omega Pitts, 84, of Saltillo, died Thursday, June 4. She was born in Decatur County, Tenn., the daughter of the late Charlie Ramsom and Dolly Jones Stanfill. She was united in marriage to Hardy Parker Pitts, who preceded her in death . Ms. Pitts was a member of the Saltillo Church of Christ and the Saltillo Senior Citizens. She had worked for H.I.S. Sportswear as a seamstress. Services were held on Saturday, June 6, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah, with James Roy Wyatt officiating. Burial was in the Shady Grove Cemetery at Saltillo. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra K. Ruth of Selmer; a son, Barney Parker Pitts of Savannah; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Jewell Hanna, Thelma Scott, and Violet Stanfill; three brothers, Clyde, Opal and Guy Stanfill; and a grandchild.
