Mary McFall (4-21-09) services 4-24-09

Mary Walter McFall, of Lutts, was born in Walnut Grove, on June 17, 1921, the daughter of the late Walter and Jewell Cherry Austin. On Dec. 25, 1942, she was united in marriage to Dougal Dee McFall, who survives. Mrs. McFall was a homemaker and a member of the Lutts Baptist Church. She encouraged her children to receive as much education as possible. She enjoyed reading, cooking, traveling, gardening. All her grandchildren enjoyed being with her. Mrs. McFall departed this life on Tuesday, April 21, at the age of 87 years, 10 months, 4 days. In addition to her husband, she is survived by five sons, Donny McFall of Memphis, Johnny McFall and wife Debbie, Danny McFall and wife Regina, all of Florence, Ala., Mark McFall and wife Sheila of Lutts, Tenn., Gary McFall and wife Lisa of Brentwood, Tenn.; two daughters, Patsy McFall Wilkinson and husband Bob of Oak Ridge, Tenn., Marilyn McFall Howard and husband Allan of Manchester, Tenn.; a daughter-in-law, Jackie McFall of Columbia, Tenn.; a beloved sister, Robbie Murphy of Waterloo, Ala.; 18 grandchildren, Wayne McFall, Ashley McFall, Benjamin Bowling, Chris McFall, Bridget McFall Moore, Brittany McFall, Indy Wilkinson, Lauren McFall, Tiffany McFall, Cara McFall, Alison McFall, Garrett McFall, Amanda McFall, Sydney McFall, Ragan McFall, Madison McFall, Makenzie McFall, and Lance Howard; six great-grandchildren, Hunter McFall, Bekah McFall, Bailey Bowling, Emma Bowling, Sam Bowling, and Harbor Moore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Robin Charles McFall; two brothers, James Austin and Joe Wisdom; a daughter-in-law, Rebecca McFall. Services were held on Friday, April 24, at 3 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Jimmy McGee officiating. Burial was in the Lutts Cemetery.
