Maddis McPeak (4-17-09) services 4-20-09

Maddis Ruth McPeak, 81, of Savannah, died Friday, April 17. She was born in Tipton County, Tenn., the daughter of the late Robert Edmun and Mattie Keizel Warmath McFerson. She was united in marriage to John Arthur McPeak, who preceded her in death. Mrs. McPeak was a homemaker. Services were held on Monday, April 20, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Darrell Moffett officiating. Burial was in the Rogers Cemetery at Atoka, Tenn. She is survived by one son, Paul McPeak of Savannah; and two daughters, Janet Austill and Dottie Leach, both of Atoka, Tenn.; a granddaughter; one brother, Robert McFerson of Adamsville; seven sisters, Brenda Boles of Adamsville, Evelyn Robbins of Gary, Ind., Bertha Turk of Eads, Tenn., Betty Lou Durham of Covington, Tenn., Robbie Sue Johnson and Loraine Crutchfield, both of Memphis and Gloria Miller of Millington, Tenn.; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Carol Jean McPeak; five sons, Billy Wayne, Johnny Lee, Ronnie, David and Larry McPeak; one brother, J. P. McFerson and one grandson.
