Larry Brannon (4-21-09) services 4-22-09

Larry Wayne Brannon, 61, of Hardin County, died Tuesday, April 21. He was born in Hardin County, son of the late Clarence and Mae Bell Brannon. Mr. Brannon was self-employed as a logger and had previously worked for Worth-Ratliff Wholesale, Coca-Cola, and as a farmer. He was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church. Services were held on Wednesday, April 22, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah, with Gary Marks officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Olive Cemetery at Lauderdale County, Ala. He is survived by three sons, Mickey D., Barry N. and Ethan Brannon all of Florence, Ala.; five sisters, Hazel Stricklin of Lutts, Helen Pennington, Winnie Cummings, Lois Swinea, all of Florence, Ala., and Kathy Hollis of St. Joseph, Tenn.; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Brannon; three brothers, R.C., Wilburn and James Brannon.
