Lacy Taylor (9-9-09) services 9-11-09

Lacy Taylor, 89, Savannah, died Wednesday, Sept. 9. He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Dan and Ida Austin Taylor. He was united in marriage to Lydia Clay, who preceded him in death . Mr. Taylor retired from Parris Manufacturing where he was employed for 44 years, he had worked in wood machining. He was a United States Army Veteran serving from 1942-1946. He was a member of the Savannah Church of Christ. Services were held on Friday, Sept.11,at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Howard Rogers officiating. Burial was in the Memory Gardens at Savannah. He is survived by a son, Jimmy Dan Taylor of Oxford, Miss.; two brothers, Dan Taylor of Savannah and Jack Taylor of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Sally Wolfe of Savannah; a granddaughter, two great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Holden and Fred Taylor; a sister, Mazie Stricklin.
