Kenny Scott (7-30-09) services 8-2-09

Kenny Lynn Scott of Hardin County was born in Florence, Ala., the son of Jerry Scott and the late Virginia Louise Goodman Scott. Mr. Scott loved boating, fishing, bow hunting and rock hunting. He enjoyed traveling and liked to dance and spend time with his family. He was very sociable and never met a stranger or anyone who disliked him. He had lived in the Nixon, Burnt Church and Walnut Grove Communities. Mr. Scott had worked for Clayton Homes doing carpentry work and for Southern Towing as a first mate. He was a member of White’s Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. Scott departed this life on Thursday, July 30, at the age of 37 years, 3 months, 17 days. In addition to his father, he is survived by a son, Jaden Dale Scott; brother, Gary Scott; sister, Regina Jerrolds; companion and best friend, Courtney Couch, all of Savannah. Services were held on Sunday, Aug. 2, at 3 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah, with Chad Balentine, Jimmy McGee officiating. Burial was in the White’s Creek Cemetery at Hardin County.
