Jewel Sinquefield (5-30-09) services 6-2-09

Jewel Sinquefield, 92, of Hardin County, died Saturday, May 30. She was born in Ripley, Miss., the daughter of the late Joe Cliff and Valley Grace Dixion. Ms. Sinquefield was employed with First National Bank of Savannah as a teller for 20 years before retiring. She was a member of the First Methodist Church for 60 years, and served as church secretary and Sunday school teacher. Services were held on Tuesday, June 2, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Will Wells officiating. Burial was in the Memory Gardens at Savannah. She is survived by a son, Jere Sinquefield of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; a sister, Betty Sue Jones of Atlanta, Ga.; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Murle Sinquefield; a daughter, Jan Blake; a sister, Juanita Peterson; a brother, David Dixon.
