James Cummings (7-7-09) services 7-13-09

James Earl Cummings, 59, of Savannah, died Tuesday July 7. He was born in Covington, Tenn., the son of the late James Cecil and Bertha Louise Hodge Cummings. Mr. Cummings was a machine operator for Parris Manufacturing and an Army Veteran. Services were held on Monday, July 13, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Mark LaRue officiating. Burial was in the Hollands Creek Cemetery at Hardin County. Mr. Cummings is survived by two sons, Michael Mathaniel Cummings of Savannah and Jonathan Earl Cummings of Jackson, Tenn.; a daughter, Jennifer Leighann Nicole Cummings of Savannah; three brothers, Bobby Eugene, Billy Dee and Donnie Ray Cummings, all of Savannah; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Bradley Cummings, and a sister, Joyce Ann Cummings.
