James Bingham (5-2-09) services 5-9-09

James Morris Bingham, 67, of Bowling Green, Ky., originally of Saltillo, died Saturday, May 2, at Greenview Hospital in Bowling Green, Ky. He was the son of the late Earl and Era Bingham. Mr. Bingham graduated from Saltillo High School in 1959, Memphis State in 1963 with a BS in geography and political science, and Memphis State in 1966 with a Masters degree. He taught at Western Kentucky University until he retired in 2008. He was a retired Master Judge of the American Iris Society and served on Bowling Green Iris Association as regional director and treasurer. Services will be held in Bowling Green with Kirby Funeral Home officiating on Friday, May 8, at 6 p.m. Local services will be held Saturday, May 9, at 2 p.m., at Saltillo First Baptist Church with Shackelford officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery in Saltillo.
