J.W. Stricklin (6-28-09) services 6-30-09

J.W. Stricklin, 72, of Savannah, died Sunday, June 28, in Savannah. He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Seamon Henry and Ruby Mae Brown Stricklin. Mr. Stricklin had his own mowing service. He also cut timber and farmed. Services will be held on Tuesday, June 30, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Jimmy Middleton officiating. Burial was in the Petty Branch Cemetery at Hardin County. He is survived by a daughter, Peggy Burleson of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; a brother, William Melvin Stricklin of Savannah; a sister, Susie Franks of Olive Hill; two grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Stricklin.
