J.D. Collier, 80, of Stantonville, died Wednesday, Oct. 7.
He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Lee Washington and Anna Doralice Fraiser Collier. He was united in marriage to Lorine Morgan, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Collier was a logger and a farmer before retiring. He was an Army Veteran serving in the Korean War.
Services were held on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 3 p.m., at Liberty Church of Christ in Michie with Clarence McDowell, Duane Estill officiating. Burial was in the Liberty Cemetery at Michie.
He is survived by two sons, Don and Anthony Collier, both of Selmer; a daughter, Barbara Alexander of Stantonville, Tenn.; a brother, Cletus "Buddy" Collier of Michie; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Garvin Collier; four sisters, Carnella Jones, Chloe Lee, Sally Childers, and Anna Belle White; two great-grandchildren.
