Hugh Ray Lott, 76, of Adamsville, died Thurs., Sept. 24, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born in Adamsville, the son of the late Henry Orb and Daisy Bell Plunk Lott. He was united in marriage to Helen Vernell Davis, who survives.
Mr. Lott farmed as a young man. He worked for the Tennessee State Highway Department and then worked for American Olean Tile in Jackson. He was Baptist.
Services were held Sunday, Sept. 27, at Shackelford–Casey Chapel with Clint Burkhead officiating. Burial in Milledgeville Cemetery.
In addition to his wife, Vernell Lott of Adamsville, he is survived by two daughters, Teresa Willis of Henderson and Sandra Holt of Saltillo; a step-daughter, Glenda Cardwell of Adamsville; 13 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Junior Lott of Crump; and three sisters, Faye Groom of Memphis, Wilmanell Hughs of Lofton, Tenn. and Mary Ruth Hamm of Adamsville.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Effie Mae Clenney.
