Herschel Childers (8-1-09) services 8-3-09

Herschel Childers, 90, of Hardin County, died Saturday, Aug. 1. He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Robert Dee and Emma Harville Childers. Mr. Childers had worked as a heavy equipment operator for B&B Construction and was a vendor at the Crump Flea Market. Services were held on Monday, Aug. 3, at Shackelford Chapel in Adamsville with Scott Melson officiating. Burial was in the Mars Hill Cemetery at Adamsville. He is survived by a son Junior Lee Childers; two daughters, Cathy Ann Childers Hamm and Mary Nan Childers Rogers; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Arizona Plunk Childers; an infant daughter and daughter, Patricia Mae Childers Lipford; three brothers, Howard, Vestie, and Shirley Childers.
