Helen Martin (4-3-09) services 4-5-09

Helen O. Martin, 72, of Counce, died Friday, April 3, at the Magnolia Regional Hospital, Corinth, Miss. She was born in Central City, Ky. the daughter of the late Conrad and Josephine Richardson Lovell. She was united in marriage to James Martin, who survives. Mrs. Martin was a homemaker and a member of Center Hill Baptist Church. Services were held on Sunday, April 5, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah, with Keith Driskell, Rodney Whittimore officiating. In addition to her husband James of Counce, she is survived by two daughters, Lisa Minga and Tammy Milner, both of Counce; one son, David Martin of Wooddale, Ill.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Kenneth Lovell of Central City, Ky., Wendell Lovell of Greenville, Ky. and Harold Lovell of Chicago, Ill. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Kathy Dowdle and Linda Gail Martin; and two sons, James "Buddy" Martin and Bobby Martin.
