Gaylord Rosa (8-14-09)

Gaylord R. Rosa, 79, of Morris Chapel, died Tuesday, Aug. 18, at Park Rest Nursing Home in Savannah. He was born in Owosso, Mich., the son of the late Frank and Edna Richardson Rosa. He was united in marriage to Lois Millo, who survives. Mr. Rosa was a retired corrections officer for Gwinnett County Georgia Prison. He was a United States Army Veteran, where he served in Japan. Mr. Rosa was a member of Church of Christ, VFW and F&AM in Owasso, Mich. No services were held. In addition to his wife Lois of Morris Chapel, he is survived by one daughter, Lisa Fish of Statham, Ga.; three sons, Rick of Morris Chapel, Randy of Savannah and Rodney Rosa of Sarasota, Fla.; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Leonard Rosa of Owasso, Mich. He was also preceded in death by one son, Leslie Rosa; three sisters, Rita Lingo, Velma Shiedler and Virginia Shultz.
