Frances Crumpton (9-20-09) services 9-23-09
Frances Crumpton, of Savannah, was born in Hardin County, on March 19, 1931, the daughter of the late George Lawrence and Emma Morris Hickerson.
She was united in marriage to Ralph Crumpton, who preceded his wife in death.
Mrs. Crumpton was a life long resident of Hardin County. She was a housewife, and enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles.
Mrs. Crumpton departed this life on Sunday, Sept. 20, at the age of 78 years, 6 months, 1 day.
She is survived by three sisters, Emma Lois Morris of Savannah, Edna Mae Hill and Emma Lee Petty, both of Waynesboro; a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Crumpton was preceded in death by a brother, Willie Hickerson and a niece, Connie Mills.
Services were held on Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 3 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Jason Collins officiating. Burial was in the Wesley’s Chapel Cemetery at Savannah.
