Eston Denson, 93, of Savannah, died Saturday, April 11.
He was born in New Site, Miss., the son of the late Thomas C. and Josie Bell Johnson Denson.
Mr. Denson was an Army-Air Force veteran serving in World War II. He had worked as a farmer, B&B Construction Company, and for the Hardin County Board of Education as a custodian at the Hardin County High School, before retiring.
Services were held on Monday, April 13, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Mike Moore officiating. Burial was in the Bethlehem Cemetery at Hardin County.
He is survived by a son, Tommy Denson of Dyer, Tenn.; two daughters, Kim Denson of Savannah, Peggy Jacobs of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mamie S. Rowsey Denson; a son Robert Gillock Smith; a brother, T. Alvin Denson; three sisters, Edna Wagoner, Mary Phillips, and Vertis Denson; and a grandchild.
