Edith M. Patmore, 86, of Wayne County, died Wednesday, June 17.
She was born in Clifton, the daughter of the late Lewis E. and Fannie B. McMahan Wilson. She was united in marriage to William "Jiggs" Patmore, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Patmore worked as a cutter for Clifton Manufacturing for 20 years before retiring. She had also worked as a cook at Frank Hughes High School in Clifton and on the towboat. During World War II she worked as a riveter in Indiana. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Methodist Church and the Eastern Stars.
Services were held on Friday, June 19, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Joe Jay Jones officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery at Hardin County.
She is survived by a sister, Lonnie K. Evans of Clifton.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Keith Isaac Patmore; two sisters, Ruby Wilson Boyd and Baxie Wilson Reeves; a brother: Connie D. Wilson.
