Edith Byrd (10-3-09) services 10-4-09

Edith Mae Jackson Byrd, 90, of Counce, died Saturday, Oct. 3, at Savannah Health Care in Savannah. She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Thomas Franklin and Dillie Letoria Carney Jackson. She was united in marriage to Albert Harrison Byrd, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Byrd was a retired factory worker. She was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church. Services were held on Sunday, Oct. 4, at Pickwick United Methodist Church in Counce with Paula Byrd officiating. Burial was in the Center Hill Cemetery at Counce. She is survived by one nephew and two nieces. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Everett Jackson and Richard Jackson and one sister.
