Doris Virginia Mason, 76, of Savannah, died on Sunday, Aug. 23, in Savannah. She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of Aubrey Wardlow and the late Vera Helen Harrison Wardlow. She was united in marriage to Dave Robert Mason, who survives. Mrs. Mason was a homemaker and a member of Spoken Word Ministry. Services were held on Wednesday, Aug. 26, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Gerald Duncan, J.P. Gillis officiating. Burial was in the Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery at Shiloh. In addition to her husband Dave of Savannah, she is survived by six daughters, Shelia Kaye McCoy of Waverly, Tenn., Marilyn Smith of Bethel Springs, Carolyn Lewis of Selmer, Cathy Griffin of Adamsville, Yvonne Robinson of Counce and Amanda Morris of Savannah; one stepson, Robert Clarence Mason of Savannah; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; her father, Aubrey Wardlow of Shiloh; one sister, Mary Evelyn Banks of Savannah. She was also preceded in death by one son, Bobby Ray Willcutt; and one grandson.
