Clovis Howard (4-4-09) services 4-6-09

Clovis Raines Howard, 90, of Michie, died Saturday, April 4, at Cornerstone Health and Rehab, Corinth, Miss. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Clay and Virgil Bosart Raines. She was united in marriage to Eldridge Samuel "Doc" Howard, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Howard taught school 43 years in Hardin and McNairy Counties. She retired from the Hardin County School System as a librarian. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and the Lebanon United Methodist Church. Services were held Monday, April 6, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer with Steve Webb officiating. Arrangements by Shackel-ford Funeral Directors of Selmer. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Jones of Michie; one brother, Roy Raines of Stantonville, Tenn.; two grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Harry and Archie Raines, and Charles Raines Jr.
