Cecil Scott (5-13-09) services 5-15-09

Cecil Scott, 86, of Savannah, died Wednesday, May 13. He was born in Waterloo, Ala., son of the late Eli and Ruth Smith Scott. He was united in marriage to Polly Loucile Hunt, who survives. Mr. Scott worked as a janitor for the Hardin County School System at Walker Elementary School for many years before retiring. Services were held Friday, May 15, at Shackelford Chapel with Rev. Gerald Davis officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens. In addition to his wife Polly, he is survived by a son, Audrey Scott Jr. of Savannah; two daughters, Louise Murphy of Savannah and Bonnie Scott of Bethel Springs; three brothers, Marion, Meredith and Ernie Scott; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd and Thomas Scott; and a sister, Nellie Rinks.
