Carrie Ricketts, age 96, of Clifton, died Monday, April 20, at Wayne County Nursing Home, Waynesboro.
She was a homemaker and retired factory worker and had been a member of the Pentecostal Church more than 50 years with membership at First United Pentecostal Church, Clifton.
Services were Friday, April 24, at First United Pentecostal Church, Clifton, with Billy Wright officiating. Burial was in the Prater’s Chapel Cemetery, Clifton, with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing.
She is survived by sons, Billy J. Ricketts of Angier, N.C., Devaughn Ricketts of Tuscumbia, Ala.; sister, Osa McClain of Tennessee; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Arzona Stricklin Prater; husband, Elbert Ricketts; son, James M. Ricketts; daughter, Madelyn Eaves; sister, Louise Hardiman Rogers.
