Bonnie Delaney (5-11-09) services 5-13-09

Bonnie Love Delaney was born in Hardin County, on Jan. 3, 1920, the daughter of the late Thomas Lafayette and Jo Ann Owens Love. On Nov. 21, 1940, she was united in marriage to Guy Sherwood Delaney, who preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 2005. Ms. Delaney was a homemaker and had lived in Saltillo most of her life. She loved to sew and flower garden. She was a member of the Saltillo Church of Christ. Ms. Delaney departed this life on Monday, May 11, at the age of 89 years, 4 months, 8 days. Ms. Delaney is survived by a son, Tom Delaney and wife Billie of Saltillo; a daughter, Judy Freeman and husband Fred of Jackson, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Pam Meek, Wesley Freeman, Mandy Webb and Josh Delaney; eight great-grandchildren, Clint, Shelby and Rachel Meek, Bailey, Delaney and Mabrey Webb, Harrison and Houston Freeman. Services were held on Wednesday, May 13, at 3 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah, with Oscar White officiating. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery at Hardin County.
