Billy "Duce" Reid (9-1-09) services 9-4-09

Billy "Duce" Reid was born in Natchitoches, La., on Dec. 1, 1987, the son of Billy Kristopher and Marilyn Hood Reid. Billy worked for Auto Zone. He was a member of Sons of the Confederacy Camp 1617. Billy liked to hunt, fish, ride four-wheelers and jet skis. He departed this life on Tuesday, Sept. 1, at the Tri-County Convalescent Home in Adamsville, at the age of 21 years and 9 months. Billy is survived by his parents, Kris and Marilyn Reid of Savannah; one sister, Jennifer Tuma and her husband Jeremy of Pineville, La.; two nieces, Joanna and Isabella Tuma; his grandparents, Billy Mack Reid and Zora Boyd Reid of Natchitoches, La. Billy was preceded in death by his grandmother, Joan Godwin. Services were held on Friday, Sept. 4, at 5 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Frank Harris officiating. Burial was in the Memory Gardens at Savannah.
