Betty Sue Terry (5-22-09) services 5-25-09

Betty Sue Welch Terry was born in Savannah, on Oct. 3, 1929, daughter of the late Andy Bill and Lucille Tucker Welch. She was united in marriage to McKinley Paul Terry who preceded her in death. Mrs. Terry was a press operator for Garans Manufacturing Company in Adamsville. Mrs. Terry departed this life on May 22, in Jackson, Tenn., at the age of 79 years, 7 months, and 19 days. She leaves a son, Billy Paul Terry and his wife Willie Mae of Savannah; two grandchildren, Tony Mack Terry and Timothy Paul Terry; two great grandchildren, Kelsey Terry and Jonathan Terry; one brother, Billy Joe Welch of Knoxville. She also leaves her Poodle, Rebel. Mrs. Terry was preceded in death by a grandchild, Belinda Carol Terry; and a sister, Kay Francis Templeton. Services were held on Monday, May 25, at 11 a.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah, with Charles Linam officiating. Burial was in the Pyburn Cemetery at Hardin County, Tenn. Serving as Pallbearers: Jimmy Welch, Danny Welch, Steve Welch, Larry Welch, Jimmy Stroud, and Joe Strickland.
