"Boomie" Kreps (9-05-09) services 9-08-09
Kimberly Ann O’Brien Kreps of Savannah died Saturday, Sept. 5, at the Hardin Medical Center at age 43, 9 months and 14 days.
Kimberly was born in Canton, Ohio, Nov. 22, 1965. Kim, known as “Boomie” to her friends and family, was a loving daughter, a devout mother, a kindhearted sister. Boomie had a big heart and an immense love for her family and friends. She was a caring and compassionate, and was never judgmental to anyone. She always had an open door and an open heart to anyone who needed her. Kimberly was fun to be around and will be especially remembered by her sisters for her great sense of humor. Kimberly was especially active and played a big part in the family “favorite sister” joke they kept going from holiday to holiday.
Kimberly is survived by her children Krista and Ben Kreps, parents Jana Mae and B.H. Odom of Counce, and sisters Beth Baugus and husband Kenneth and Jana Raye Talley and husband Clagett of Savannah; step-sister Joy Odom Lee and step-brother Johnny Odom of Adamsville. She will also be missed by nieces Amber and Kenna Beth Baugus and nephew Tray Talley of Savannah and nieces and nephews, Jaclyn Justice Burdette of Ramer, Jennifer Lee Leckner, Doug Lee and John Reed Odom of Adamsville.
Kimberly was a member of the Savannah Church of Christ. Services were held Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Shackelford Funeral Home with Jim Chamblee and Jerry Fowler officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens in Savannah.
Kimberly was preceded in death by her dad, Benjamin Lee O’Brien, and step-sister, Junie Odom.
