Zubie Tidwell

Zubie A. Tidwell, 94, of Savannah, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, in Savannah. She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Arch and Rosa Austin. She was united in marriage to Bill Tidwell, who preceded her in death . Mrs. Tidwell was a housekeeper for a motel. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. Services were held on Friday, Feb. 6, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Robert Yanok officiating. Burial was in the Graham Cemetery at Hardin County. She is survived by four daughters, Peggy Austin, Patsy Choate, Carolyn Qualls, all of Savannah, and Marie Wilkins of Adamsville; two sons, Billy Junior Tidwell of Decatur, Ala. and Pete Tidwell of Savannah; 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Neil Tidwell, three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one brother, and five sisters.
