Tony Smith

Tony Curtis Smith, 46, of Ripley, Miss., died Saturday, Jan. 3. He was born in Savannah, son of the late Louise DeShazier. Mr. Smith had lived for several years in Ripley, Miss., where he worked for Alaco of Mississippi for eight years. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. He is survived by his wife, Jessica Burkeens Smith of Selmer; two daughters, Shana Nicole Smith and Candace Dawn Smith, both of Savannah; a step-son, Steven Anthony Burkeens of Selmer; three sisters, Darlene Hottiman of Savannah, Rachel DeShazier and Penny "Pipkin" Smith, both of Selmer; a grandmother, Virginia Smith of Savannah; and a grandson. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Kimberly Renee Franks Smith.
