Sue Parrish Morgan
Sue Parrish Morgan was born in Counce on Nov. 10, 1929, the daughter of the late Walter Perry and Matilda Louella Long Parrish.
She was united in marriage to William Ovid Morgan, who preceded his wife in death.
Mrs. Morgan was owner of Sue’s Fashion House. She was a member of Counce First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Morgan departed this life on Feb. 2, at the Baptist Hospital in Memphis, at the age of 79 years, 2 months and 23 days.
She is survived by one son, Tommy Young of Germantown, Tenn.; and three daughters, Jackie Lees of Williston, Tenn., Joanne Stone of Panama City Beach, Fla. and Kathy Morgan Kearney of Raleigh, N.C.; eight granchildren, Geoffrey Lees, Catie Young, Patrick Lees, Philip Young, Daniel Young, Jeffrey Cain, Melanie Cain and Joel Kearney; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jane Powell of Memphis and Ann Young of Counce.
Services were held on Feb. 5, at 1 p.m., at Counce First Baptist Church in Counce with Dr. Bill Darnell officiating. Burial was in the White Sulphur Cemetery at Pickwick Dam, Tenn.
