Ruth Qualls

Ruth Woodmansee Qualls was born in West Helena, Ark., on Oct. 30, 1923, the daughter of the late Clyde and Julia Raddle Woodmansee. On Aug. 5, 1950, she was united in marriage to Hardin Irvin Qualls, who preceded his wife in death on Oct. 9, 1983. Mrs. Qualls was a homemaker and a member of Southside Baptist Church. She departed this life on Friday, Feb. 20, at the Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, at the age of 85 years, 3 months and 21 days. Mrs. Qualls is survived by one daughter, Annette Reed and her husband Kerry of Pensecola, Fla.; two grandchildren, Julie Stice and her husband Aaron and Cindy Reed; one great-grandchild, Samantha Stice all of Pensecola, Fla.; one brother, Robert Woodmansee of Humble, Texas. Mrs. Qualls was also preceded in death by one son, Don Qualls; one sister, Betty Cimino; and three brothers, Charles, John and David Woodmansee. Services were held on Sunday, Feb. 22, at 3 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah, with Benny Taylor officiating. Burial was in the Graham Cemetery at Hardin County.
