Robert J. Harville
Robert J. Harville was born in Hardin County, on May 29, 1928, the son of the late Dewey Sr. and Nellie Marie Burks Harville.
On June 5, 1945, he was united in marriage to Irine Brown, who survives.
Mr. Harville had worked for Baugus Sawmill and as a farmer. He loved to garden and work in the yard.
Mr. Harville departed this life on Wednesday, Dec. 31, at the age of 80 years, 7 months, 2 days.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Harville is survived by a son: Robert Dee (Bud) Harville of Savannah; a daughter: Polly Melson of Savannah; a sister: Annie Mae Harville Brown of St. Louis, Mo.; a brother: James L. Harville of Olive Hill; five grandchildren: Jeremy Dee Harville, Heather Magness, James Michael Harville, Rita Kay Deatherage, and Christopher Louis Harville; eight great-grandchildren: Jasmine Harville, Patrick Gastra, Dawson Harville, Aubrey Lynn Harville, Evan Riley Harville, Mickel Magness, Abigail Magness and Nicholas Magness.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Harville was preceded in death by a son: Louis Harville; a sister: Marie Pickens; three brothers: Douglas (Sonny) Harville, Dewey Harville Jr. and Edward Harville.
Services were held on Sunday, Jan. 4, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah, with Harrell D. Conaway officiating. Burial was in the Wilkerson Cemetery at Hardin County.
