Ray Paulk
Raymond E. “Ray” Paulk, 81, of Prattville, Ala., passed away Tuesday, March 3, at Prattville Hospital, Prattville, Ala.
Funeral Services were held Saturday, March 7, at 1 p.m., in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Kenneth Smith officiating. Interment was in Memorial Gardens, Columbus, Miss., with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Paulk was born in Waterloo, Ala., on Jan. 28, 1928, to the late Charlie and Pearl Hubbard Paulk. He was a resident of Prattville, Ala. for the past one and one-half years having moved from Columbus, Miss. Mr. Paulk was retired as a supervisor at United Technologies with 19 years of service and a veteran of the United States Army and United States Air Force. He attended the Liberty Baptist Church, Reform, Ala., was a member of VFW Post No. 4272, enjoyed bowling, fishing, golfing and playing dominos.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Elvin Paulk.
Mr. Paulk is survived by his wife, Nola Paulk, Prattville, Ala.; sons, Ricky (Cristi) Paulk, Prattville, Ala.; Charles (Roxanne) Paulk, Reform, Ala.; daughters, Teresa (Robert) Miranda, Las Vegas, Nev.; Lorie (Kirk) Van Newhouse, Atlanta, Ga.; brothers, Buddy Paulk, Savannah; Marvin Paulk, Tupelo, Miss.; Leonard Paulk, Savannah; Lloyd Paulk, Savannah, and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Riley Austin, Terry Russom, Kevin Robertson, Alan Dyer, Brad Paulk, Tyler Van Newhouse. Honorary Pallbearers will be Paul Terrell, Hubert Taylor, in memory of Jim Brown and J. W. Gunnels.
