Oval Harris

Oval Benita Dallas Harris, 92, of Adamsville, died Saturday, Jan. 17. She was born April 15, 1916, in McNairy County, the daughter of the late Ira Butler Dallas and Clyde Della English Dallas. She was united in marriage to Artis Glen Harris, who survives. Mrs. Harris was a homemaker and at one time was employed by Garan Sportswear, Harwood Manufacturing, and Leapwood Manufacturing in Adamsville. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Services were held on Monday, Jan. 19, at Shackelford Chapel in Adamsville with Frank Szydlowski officiating. Burial was in the Mud Creek Cemetery at Adamsville. In addition to her husband, Artis, she is survived by one daughter, Claytie Pounds of Adamsville; one son, Max Harris of Adamsville; one brother, George Dallas of Collierville; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Glen H. Harris and one brother, Otis Dallas.
