Maude DeBerry
Maude DeBerry, 100, of Hardin County, died Wednesday, Feb. 4.
She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Herring and Cennie Dobbins Hurst. She was united in marriage to Haskell Harbour DeBerry, who preceded her in death.
Ms. DeBerry had also lived Jackson, Tenn. for several years and owned Northwood Grocery before retiring. She was a member of Sunshine FCE Club, Farm Bureau, Woodmen of the World, and a member of Robertson Chapel United Methodist Church for 75 years.
Services were held on Friday, Feb. 6, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Jason Estes officiating. Burial was in the Memory Gardens at Savannah.
She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and great-great-great nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mazie Kerr and Louella Wolfe; four brothers, Wylie, Cherry, Jess Allen and Virgil Hurst.
