Mary Bridges

Mary Elizabeth Bridges, 88, of Adamsville, died Friday, Feb. 20, at Savannah Health Care Center. She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Benjamin Gilbert and Ina Mae Singleton Green. She was united in marriage to James Hershel Bridges, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Bridges was a machine operator for Garan Manufacturing. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Adamsville. Services were held on Sunday, Feb. 22, at Shackelford Chapel,Adamsville with Phil Mitchell officiating. Burial was in the Pine Hill Memorial Garden at Adamsville. She is survived by one daughter, Nancy Carolyn Bridges Brown of Counce; one son, Jimmy Neal Bridges of Adamsville; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; one sister, Rhoda Mae Phillips of Savannah. She was also preceded in death by one brother, William Alton Green.
