Marshall Alexander

Marshall T. Alexander, 96, of Olive Hill, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Savannah Health Care Center. He was born in Hardin County, son of the late Robert Alonzo and Katie Sue Yerby Alexander. He was united in marriage to the former Mary Patterson, who preceded him in death. Mr. Alexander was a game warden for Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran. He was a member of the Olive Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Services were held Saturday, Jan. 3, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Don Coleman officiating. Burial was in the Olive Hill Cemetery. He is survived by one brother, William Harbour Alexander of Nashville; a host of nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Zelma Patterson and Ruth Turner; and two brothers, James M. "Bowdie" Alexander and his twin Woodrow Alexander.
