Louis Ankrom

Louis G. "Skip" Ankrom, 65, of Adamsville, died Thursday, Jan. 1. He was born in Decatur, Ill.,the son of the late Ralph and Allie Irene Griswald Ankrom. He was united in marriage to Carla Summers, who survives. Mr. Ankrom was a farmer and drove truck for ACT out of Kansas City, Mo. He was also employed with the City of Selmer and CCA in Whiteville, Tenn. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Illinois and was of Baptist belief. A graveside service was held on Monday, Jan. 12, at the Old Providence Cemetery in Waggoner, Ill. In addition to his wife, Mr. Ankrom is survived by two sons: Kip Ankrom of Decatur, Ill. and Carl Summers; a daughter: Sandra Ankrom Balvanz of Decatur, Ill.; a brother: Charles Ankrom of LaPlace, Ill.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was also preceded in death by a daughter: Jennifer Linn Johnson; a sister; and two brothers.
